Opening Veil
Known as “the veil of illusion” in many eastern religions, the clouds in this image reflect our fears back to us. We then determine those fears are all we have to choose from when figuring out a problem.

Peaceful image for meditation
Perhaps if we allow ourselves to breathe deeply a few times, think a little less and feel a little more, we may find that small areas in the clouds have opened to reveal more clarity. Once we allow thoughts and emotions to work together, answers arrive more smoothly and with much less anxiety.
This print is of an original abstract oil painting.
Image is ~8×10 and is printed on heavy card stock. It is backed with foam board, and bagged. All materials are acid free.

Morticia Pots, Raku Wall Vases Set

This item has been sold
Great for Dead Flowers, Dried Flowers, Twigs, Gnarly Branches and other Organic arrangements. These Morticia Pots are great both for a Goth, Zombie, or Halloween Party and for your regular wall decor.
These Raku Vases are simple, elegant, and yet they convey the dark beauty in the medieval and Goth themes. The crackling is deliberate, as is the black surface — this is caused by the method of firing and the organic combustion material.
The set is sold and shipped together, packaged carefully and lovingly (albeit without the dead flowers…).
The Dead Flowers you see below are from a collection of Dead Flower Art. The Dead Flower Art has been inspired by the artfully dreadful tastes of Morticia Addams.
You can read more about Morticia Pots by clicking on this link. There’s also information about the easy way to create Dead Flower Art.

Out of Chaos
Out of Chaos comes order. Out of Chaos must come Order (we insist on it!) to become that which is controllable, predictable, definable in our perception. Only when we perceive that Order does it materialize out of Chaos, so Chaos never looks orderly until we impose our observable intent on it. Allow yourself to be in chaos for a time.
Study the image — do you see different types of orders surfacing then sinking back? How do they make you feel? Relaxed, intrigued, nervous, afraid? Why do you feel that way?
This image was painted in oil paints — first time my non-dominant hand was allowed to hold and wield the brush (scary!). The main colors were blocked in with my left hand, and the details were added with my right hand.
This print is of an original abstract oil painting.
Image is ~8×10 and is printed on heavy card stock. It is backed with foam board, and bagged. All materials are acid free.

Synapses Love

What it is that actually connects us to one another? What is the fabric or network or web along which currents of connections flow? Does the brain in our head really link us one to another, or is there another kind of brain that brings the power of emotion into “rational” thinking?
Look at it for a while and decide for yourself what it is. Try leaving out the logical that wants to argue “right” and “wrong” and just allow yourself to observe. Not as easy as one might think (so stop thinking already!)
